rebuild went great aside from 5 quarts of oil on my floor

Alright i really need some help. i have a 93 z28 6 speed. put the motor back in and cranked it over. when it didn't develop oil pressure in 7 or 8 seconds i shut it off, only to step in what i later found to be 5 quarts of the oil i just had put into the motor. i know it's pouring out of the back on the drivers side near the top, my question is, what hole is up there? Is there a plug my machine shop could have left out? i have the oil sending unit that mounts in the side of the block and i made sure the square bolt plugging the other option was tight. i'm going to take off the intake manifold tomorrow to see if i can see anything clearer, but i was just wondering if one of you guys could shed some light on this, thanks in advance for your help

There is a plug on the back of the block where later years put the oil sending unit. They probably left that out, thinking that is where you would put your sending unit.
The hole is right under the EGR valve on the top deck of the block.

not to point out the blatently obvious, but the oil filter is in that area

also on my 95 the oil pressure sensor screws into the top of the block behind the intake manifold on the driver side

also the block drain plug is in the same area as the oil filter, ehh wait thats for coolant anyway

hope that little bit of info helps

Had this happen to me once... Rebuilt a honda and the machine shop randomly took out a few oil pressure port plugs.. I was highly pissed when 3 quarts of oil came out in literally half a second.

Well it's definately not the hole for the oil pressure sending unit in the later years because i know for a fact that there's a square topped plug mounted tightly in there. It's not the filter because i would have seen that right away, this is kinda why i'm confused. i didn't think there were anymore holes in the back of the block on that side. the oil came out pretty rapidly so it has to be a pretty big hole, not just a plug thats not tight enough. i'm also getting no oil pressure. but thank you for the back of block picture for reference. i'm just wondering whathole it could be coming out of

Could be oil galley freeze plugs not installed by the builder.
