Rebuild $$$
When i rebuilt my 350 sb for my 79' z last year it cost me around $1300 re-useing everything except the pistons. That was with me removing/installing the motor.

I just rebuilt an 88 350 TPI motor for a freind and I reused all the rotating assembly. I reground the crank, resized the rods and put in ARP bolts, cleaned up the pistons and reused them, the cylenders were absolutely perfect for 178,000 miles so I just unglazed the cylenders and called it good, We got a set of heads rebuilt off E-bay for 300$. The only new stuff I bought besides the obvious (rings , main and rod bearings, gaskets, freeze plugs, and cam bearings) was an oilpump and a cam (crane). I used oven cleaner on the block instead of having it vatted. I also did all the assembly and r +r myself.
To have it all done professionaly to stock specs really depens on what the condidtion of the engien is in.
Assuming you just spun a bearing and no major other damage (side walls, rods, and what not) your looking at abour $2,500-$3,000. There is alot of labor in dropping the motor and the rebuild itself, the kit is realtivly inexpansive.
IMO: You might want to look at some performance parts to build it out with while it is open to save you some money down the road. I think it would be safe to say most guys on this board don't rebuild to bone stock.
