Rear rotor/ rear end swap question
Well here is my situation, I installed a 2001 Trans Am/WS6 rear end in my 95 Camaro Z-28. I had to use the mounting brackets, calipers, and rotors from my car. In doing so the rotors now rubbed on the calipers. I circumvented the problem by installing 1/8 inch washers behind the rotors and works fine now being shimmed out a bit. I noticed that there are different part numbers for the rotors, calipers, and mounting brackets between lt1 cars and ls1 cars. Will a simple rotor swap (going to ls1 rotors)work for me here? Or do I need to replace the other components also. Any help would be great. Thanks.

check this post out, im sure chucky will help you http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...adid=164907out
The axles are different lengths. Whatever axles you are using, you should use the complete brake setup for same. IOW, if using LT1 axles, use all the LT1 brake stuff. If using LS1 axles, use all LS1 brake stuff. "Stuff" being backing plates, rotors, calipers.

Would changing out just the rotors and pads work?

Re-read my post above. Whatever axles you are using, you need all the brake stuff that goes with them. I don't know how to make it more plain.

Thanks for the info, didnt have to come off that way though. Just wanted to do this the cheapest way possible since I have no functional problems now, did not want to spend a fortune on calipers, rotors, pads, brackets, etc. Oh well I will just keep what I got, thanks anyway.

I have reservations about your particular solution as far as safety. A solid spacer covering the whole axle face would be better if you were going to do it without the correct axles.
If you do decide to go with the 98+ parts I have a complete setup for the rear disc brakes ( fronts too) . all the parts together so it would be right. It's a much better brake setup anyway. Shoot me an e-mail if your interested.
