relatively quiet exhaust

I am building the 383 this winter, it will have jethot LTs and a fairly large cam, but cops hate me in my town so i would like to keep the noise down on the street as much as possible with this setup, it will have two cutouts behind the collectors for when i want to be loud and faster. basically what im asking is people that have experience what the quietest aftermarket catback is, dual outlets on the sides (not TOTL or one out the left). I also want to get rid of the crapmaster because its starting to rust through where the clamp over the rear is. thanks.

I really like the sound of my Hooker, just a little louder than stock (even with mid-lengths and !cat) at idle and part throttle. But at WOT I scare people on the sidewalks. Granted I don't have a 383 or even a cam.

The hooker is kind of loud with the goodies .

The quietest catback is a stock one. I ran that for a while and the engine noise is much louder than the exhaust. The SLP dual/dual is probably the quietest dual outlet aftermarket muffler out.

Another vote for the SLP dual/dual, as far as I know it uses the same free-flowing muffler as the 2OTL does.

I agree its fairly mellow untill you get on it.....My 383 sounds about the same as my hotcammed 350 did....its much quieter than the blowmaster I had at cruiseing speeds.

I just put that on my TA, and it is definately the quietest I've heard. I got rid of my chokemaster, the drone was killing me . The SLP dual/dual is not much louder than stock, but I can feel it flowes better than the flowmaster, but it has a nice deep tone. I have a cut out too, so when I want it loud I'm good to go. You should be able to find a used one for pretty cheap too, it's kind of expensive new, but then again it's stainless steel too. I got a freakin' awesome deal on mine. Good luck.

Tom

ps-Hey Ryan, tell Chris thanks again for me, the exhaust and tips are sweet. I'll bring it down to Sam's sometime.
