Just found out that my rear main seal has backed out, so I need to know how much work its gonna take to replace that. Also any estimates of how much it would cost to have this done at a shop.

 

I have done it and would have to say it is a job cause you have to either drop the tranny or pullit back pretty far from the block. After that it just takes a few minuted to pull off the flex plate or fly wheel and gently tap the seal back in or replace it. then put the tranny back in. In my case it took two weeks caus ei had to wait on a s=new flexplate. but it sholdnt take more than a few hours if you know what you are doing. Im sure it would cost a lot to have it done.
