Rear main HELP PLEASE!!

Rear main HELP PLEASE!!

i have a major problem and am in need of some major help.Ihave replaced the rear main my self 3 times in 500 mile and a shop just did it and lasted 38 miles.Is there a chance that the housing is bad.I have checked pvc system and it seems to be fine its not caring a bunch of oil pressure so im sure thats not the problem.Any help or suggestions would be great techline phone numbers anything.This is getting old fast.

Is your problem an oil leak?? If it is, it's probly not your rear main but instead the intake gasket. It looks like the rear main is leaking when really most of the time it's the intake where the RTV is on the the back. The factory used some crappy RTV and they almost ALL leak.

Sounds like you need to try another shop if the seal is not staying put. They are either using the wrong seal or doing something wrong. There isn't that much there to mess up. The only other thing I can think of is if the rear main seal housing was cracked and not holding the seal in.

You don't have any crankcase venting modifications, do you?
