if you oil your filter you need to let it dry then you'l be fine...a lot of people simply oil them and put them right back in...
this can cause your MAP readings to be off and knock all sorts of stuff out of wack...

as long as you dont over oil your filter and as long as you let it dry you'll be fine...

yes i did read the announcement ,where do you think i got the idea... i can understand oil getting in you MAF and messing things up but that still has nothing to do with the clutches and bands in your tranny... i asked b/c i keep havin problems with my tranny going out (twice in 6 months)

Before you start pointing fingers, you might want to consider if you know what you are talking about.

Obviously we don't know what we are talking about, please move this to advanced tech to explain the path of intake air and how it enters the tranny,
Also, your nitrous kit could be freezing the gears in the tranny causing them to bind, look into that as well.

The PCM decides what line pressure the tranny will use based on various sensor inputs. If these sensors are giving false readings (because of oil on them or another reason), you will get a line pressure that is too high or too low. This could cause your transmission problems.
