i was wanting to find out what the actual horsepower gains of a cat back system and a CAI are on a stock lt1! i was going to try to search for this before just posting a new thread, but i couldn't figure out how exactly to explain it in just a couple words... so thanks for the replys in advance!

 

Most stock LT1s I have seen Dyno, Dyno in the 250 to 260 range. A few cars I have seen with cat-backs and Cold air inductions Dyno in the 270 to 280 range so a 20 RWhp gain is probably on the low-average side with 30 to 35 or so on the high side.
I have no Dyno graphs of the same cars before and after kinda thng, but I'm sure someone here does. I know that WS6.com has a few different before and after graphs.

 

I dyno'd last January with my completely stock car. 238 RWHP/ 275.3 RWTQ

I dyno'd this past July with SLP CAI and Magnaflow cat-back. 264 RWHP / 289.9 RWTQ.

Gain of 26 HP and 14.6 TQ...

Header install in progress.

I dyno'd at 281rwhp and 308rwtq with just cai and catback. But i don't have before #'s though.

 

You should see about 20 from the two...in average each will give you 10 give or take from brands etc.
