RE POSTING this AGAIN. 224/236 XE cam too big FOR MY MOTOR
I have a 224/230 and mild headwork, I'd say that engine is just about right, if not a little undercammed. The idle is almost near stock sounding, has that constant wum wum wum wuma sound, but a slight lope to it at the same time. Once it idles down, it sounds pretty cool though. Great pulling on the top end, it starts out just like the stock cam in the low end, but it just doesn't stop and seems to just pull more and more as it winds out.
I'd say go for it... here's a sound clip of my car.

Damn man. I cant wait to get my Car running. Just wondering what kinda of exhaust do you have. YOur car sounds sweet. I think BORLA sounds good with CAMMEd LT1's. I have flowmaster. I can still hear my flowmasters very well. WHEN I HAD it started LOL. Will see. I take it your computer is tunned as well. IM sure that has alot to do with it.

Right on
The car actually isn't fully tuned yet, just a mail order tune.
That's running straigh Jet Hot LT's. I'm gonna get rid of my Hooker catback portion and use 2 or 3 bullets inline and dump it into a turndown before the rear bumper.

hmm, how badly is it running?
When I instaleld my hotcam and fired her up, it sounded like a full out race/drag cam! Chunky as hell, real deep, lopey as hell.. I always thought it was because I hadn't had my tune yet.
Then I looked under the hood and say the #6 and #8 primaries glowing red.
Turns out I had the timing off by one tooth, had to tear down the entire frontend again just to shift the cam gear by one tooth. Was not fun, but the car ran like a dream after the adjustment!
So.. that's just one thing to look at.. shot in the dark, I guess. good luck! remember, it is all worthwhile when it is finally running the way you want it.

Hey Guys. Thanks for all your replys on this cam. heres wasss new. I pulled my heads off the motor. ANd I again had two blown headgaskets. So im getting ready to replace those. Now goin back to that cam. Do you think Its a good idea to maybe pull the cam out. Just in case for inspection, IM sure its fine. But if I end up pulling the cam out im prolly gonna swap in the LT4 cam. The cam thas in there now went through alot of heat. SO I hope its OK. Tell what you guys think. Thanks

its a good idea to check it, but if nothings wrong i wouldnt bother with the lt4 cam. bro, the cam you have is good $hit, and you will not see a noticable difference with the hotcam. just make sure you degree the cam in and get the car tuned.
Yeah I think my internals are OK. I heated up enough that the Gaskets blew. So NO damage to the cam I dont think. Plus if the cam was flat all the Roller Rockers WOULD not be moving. As they are. ILL keep it. SEE what happens. I jus twont my damn car back man. ITs been 6 months and damn Mustangs are passing me up in my mothers Buick REgal. I cant do nothing about LOL
