Question Rattle under the car, know the problem need a cure.

The rattle is comming from my Pace Setter Y-Pipe hitting the floorboard under the driverseat. The y-pipe is formed with an indentation where the little piece comes down about an inch from the chasis and back up. Y-pipe fits perfect but still rattles against the floorboard.

Any ideas on what to do to stop this from happening? It knocks hard enough to set of my LT-4 KM sometimes.

I had the same problem. I took some heat tape and rolled it up and wedged it between the floor and the y-pipe. I don't like the idea of doing that but it works.

I was thinking about something like that, I'll give it a try. Thanks.

yea mine does it too when i floor it, even after i took it off and re-shaped the indent on the y pipe 3 times. i took a piece of rubber heater hose and wedged it in there, but the tape idea is probably better

New motor mounts usually fix this problem.
