random questions

1)I was planning on pulling the motor and getting my heads ported and swapping in a cc306(along with replacing all of the leaking gaskets and seals ), but my "reliable" winter beater isnt so reliable and now i have to shell out some major money to get her rolling again(blown head gasket and possible warped head). Would it be worth it for me to do half the project now, and finish it this summer. I was thinking about putting in the cc306 and upgrading all the valvetrain in march, and getting the heads done this summer or over the next winter. Would it be worth it for me to install the cam now with stock heads, or is that a bad idea?

2)My other project is gonna be a full exhaust system. My car is lowered 2 inches so i am looking at the MAC mid-length's and y-pipe. While i am dropping the motor back in, do u think i would be able to place the headers in the engine bay, and tie them off to the side, so that i could easily match them up the heads and not have to deal with wedging them in there.

3)I am getting my pcm tuned by pcmforless.com and i was just curious to see if i could have them delete my rear O2 sensors so that i wouldnt have to buy O2 sims. Also, for the MAC headers, are O2 extenders required?

thanks a ton guys

Alright...alright....I can try and go 3 for 3.

1. No, I wouldn't do it....especially in your situation. I wouldn't fo it period just for the fact you plan on doing the rest in like 6 months. I would just do it all the time and fix old reliable so it can be old reliable when you do your cam swap.

2. Yes.... I just put my motor back in 3 weeks ago and thats what I did. Actually I just had a friend slide them in with the hoist.

3. I did the OBD1 conversion so that was no prob. Call Bryan, he's good when he's not busy up the ars. He'll help you on that.

i am doing full exhaust all at the same time. The more that i think about my budget, i probably wont be getting my heads done till next winter, so i think i will go ahead with the cam swap. I have to do something over the winter. I think cam and full exhaust will be a nice addition to my car. Hopefully i will be able to chase down my buddies 12.9 sec mustang.

feel free to add more ideas

Yeah....well if tis gonna be another year, then go ahead and do it. I personally still would do it all at once though. I'd throw in the full exhaust now......cam and heads later.

cool man. Well, i dont plan on doing this until march, so i will work my *** off and we'll see how things unfold in a few months. Just out of curiosity, what would my car run with all the usual boltons, full exhaust and a cc306 cam.

thanks
