Radiator Upgrade?

One of the tanks of my radiator has a crack in it and instead of just changing that tank I want to replace the radiator altogether because it is the original radiator, just do it once and be done with.

I'm not crazy about the plastic tanks and was wondering if there is something else out there available or if there is an upgraded radiator (metal) out there than can be a direct replacement for the original, or should I just get a factory replacement? I don't want to go crazy and spend a bunch of money for an upgrade but was dissappointed when I pushed on the plastic part where it cracked and it felt like a sponge.

Help?!

Re: Radiator Upgrade?

Be Cool and Griffin make premium aluminum radiatiors that are LT1 F-Body specific. The Griffin is about $500. If you are interested in a Be Cool at a sizable discount, I know a guy who knows a guy who knows...... etc. PM if interested.

Re: Radiator Upgrade?

Just to compare, I got a stock replacement (no from GM) for $130, great fit and finish.
