Question radiator suppose to leak???

well i'm positive i already know the answer to this but before i go buy a new radiator figured i might as well double check just to be sure.

when hot (around 220degrees) my radiator is leaking from just below the cap down about 3 inches....leaks pretty good. i'm off to buy a new radiator arent i?

any suggestions on the cheapest place to pick one up?

Hey, before you go out and buy a new rad. Why don't you take your old one to a shop and see if they can fix it. It'd prob. be a lot cheaper than a new one. But other than that, no, it isn't supposed to leak, and if you can't get it fixed at a reputable shop, get a new one. Oh, stay away from that stop leak stuff too. Trust me on that one. Hope this helps. -J.Bird

well after closer inspection it looks as if it's got a crack running down the passenger side front of the radiator. sound like something a shop can repair?

I really couldn't tell you, I'm not that familiar the exact process, what can and can't be repaired, etc., but you might take it to a shop and ask anyway, that couldn't hurt, or even just call around and describe the prob. in detail.
