Radiator question

I have a question guys....you know that black plastic piece on the side of our radiators(the filler for the radiator itself, not the overflow) is that replacable? I have a crack going down the back side of it so it leaks out of there. Is it worth replacing just that piece or should I replace the whole radiator?

Thanks guys

Looks like you can replace just that one part.

Part number: 52465338 for your car.
$22+shipping at gmpartsdirect, probably cheaper through Jason Cromer. Just make sure that's what's really leaking before you order.

Oh yes, forgot to mention. You'll probably want a new gasket for it as well.

Awesome, thanks

Yes it is definitely leaking, I had the car running and saw it spewing out of the plastic piece, plus I could see the crack going down it too.

Thanks again, thats much cheaper than a new radiator

Yep, cheaper than a used radiator too.

Do you have a pic of what you are talking about so I can make sure it is the same thing that I am talking about?

Also, I noticed that it says it can only ship to a business address...would that be a problem?

Certainly.

Check it out here.

Jason will most likely ship it to you.

Cool deal, do you know how easy it is to replace that? Or should I have someone else do it so it is done correctly?

Thanks for the help

Sorry, I don't know. Never had to do that on my cars, YET.
I'm sure someone else will give you more advice on replacing it though.

Also, while the radiator is out, might as well flush it real well....
