Radiator drain valve stuck!

Radiator drain valve stuck!

I worked on it for about 30 min and I couldn't get it to budge. how can I get that bastard to turn?

I broke both ears on mine and ended up heating it up with a propane torch and removing it with some pliers. The downside is you will need a new one, but you'll probably brake your old one anyway taking it out. The new ones are cheap and they come in packs of 5 or 10 if I remember correctly. I got a few of them left in my garage.

You can also try heating it up just a bit, without melting it.

30 minutes?! I didn't know that little piece of plastic would hold up to that much. Just get some needlenose pliers, get a good grip, and turn. It will either start to move or you'll just get the end of it in your hands and have to drill the rest out.

I used channel locks, broke it, and then bought 1 from auto zone for like 99 cents.

got it! i heated it up and used some pliers and it didnt end up breaking! thanks yall
