Racing with 5w20 oil

The mechanic put royal purple 5w20 in the car last fall when I parked it.
I just brought the car out this week and was considering going to the
track on saturday, but I didn`t get around to changing the oil yet.I was
wondering if 5w20 would be alright or a bad idea?

I wouldn't run it in an LT1. The LT1 has tight bearing tolerances as it is, and a thinner race oil is not going to help that. Especially going to the track, I would change it out. My $0.02.
