A nylon (NOT VINYL) butt connector MUST be used.
Teflon wire must be used not plastic / PVC.

Good to know, Its all thumbs up except for the tape, ill change that asap.

Can i use a non insulated butt connector? or does it need to be insulated, or vinyl like you said?

Two options using Teflon wire only.

solder w/ teflon heatshrink
nylon butt connector (not vinyl)
