awsome! any idea how much they'd charge for that? (parts and labor, not including the muffler which i'd buy myself)
about $175 give or take $10
chambered pipe was some where around $50 or so.
i got the 18".

that is installing the chambered pipe, making a Y just over the rear and removing your old muffler and adding a straight pipe where it was and running a pipe out both sides. it will look like the loud mouth. best thing to do is find a pic of a LM on a car and print it out and take it to the shop with you, some guys have no idea what you want unless you have some type of picture.

2 of my buddies have gotten tickets for their flowmaster 80 series muffler, both cars are bone stock except the muffler.
the cops told them anything that isnt stock exhaust is ILLEGAL

but i have longtubes, no cat, heads/cam, and a loud mouth setup.
and i havent had any problems yet. i guess it depends what kind of mood the cop is in....

thanks guys

Also, if i did the chamberd mufflers, what diamter would i want? if i wanted to for looks sorta hide the exhaust, would there be a way to have it so that the exhaust had like turndowns (turndown and away is more like it) before the rear of the car?
In some ways i like big exhaust tips, but i also love cars that sound amazing but you cant see any of the exhaust system.....
sorta gives it a different look.....
if i did that, would it affect the sound in any way?

I can't stand Borla. Anything but Borla. Way too overpriced and sounds like a dump truck. Everyone bashes Flowmaster, but they give a great sound. Spintech as well. If I didn't have custom duals, I would probably put either a Hooker or Spintech catback on.

Where everybody has there own thoughts. yes borla and corsa are very high in price. I got a used borla, but a good price. I love it, you can go cutout mode with no plate or full plate or middle or whatever, make your own plates. The quiet one is pretty dang queit, I dont' think its much louder than stock, and give a good sound. Flowmaster muffler only is the best bang for the buck soundwise, its cheap been used forever and gives you a non stock sound. Get you a 3 inch catback and keep the stock muffler, it will flow better but sound basically stock...

Well this one comes up alot and is a huge matter of opinion post, I am glad I did't listen to most people and ordered my loudmouth. IMO it is really not that loud under 2000 (and I am in my late 20s) but when I put my foot in it, it rains hell down . Kind of sounds like what your looking for. But there is a downside, I just got my pacesetter LTs in so I will be running no cats and I am thinking it is going to be a litttle to over the top, but then again I can take out the resonator and replace it with a muffler of choice

Has anyone heard the TSP Rumbler on a LT1 car? Its a loundmouth knock off made by Texas Speed. You can get it with cool smoked oval tips, round or no tips at all. There is no doubt it will be loud, but I wouldnt be suprised if it was a bit quieter thant he loudmouth.
