Quick..Fanswitch Problem

i just finished installing a fan switch with LED's, i hooked the power source up to the yellow stereo power wire, it works great, but the LED's stay on when the car is off, this is on a '94 OBD -1, is there an alternative power source i can hook it up too in order to have the LED's shut off the same time the car is off.

Also, when i was tapping into the blue and green wires, i noticed a white wire, with a connector on the end reading "PED 9", this wire is coming from the main group of wires coming from the firewall, it is not connected to anything, and i dont know where to connect it too, is this a bad thing?? can someone please help me find where it goes.

Thanks, Mike

You either need to use a power source that is only on when the key is or you need to add the diodes that are in this diagram.

The lead you are seeing is probably a gray wire that is the fuel pump prime connector. It is not meant to be connected to anything. It is just there for test purposes.
