Quick EGR Valve Question

If the vacuum line and electrical connection are unplugged, would a bad EGR valve still cause the car to act up? EGR is blocked off, btw. Thanks.

Re: Quick EGR Valve Question

If the valve is still in place and is not sealing, it can be a problem source.

Re: Quick EGR Valve Question

You say your EGR is blocked off? I guess you mean the feed pipe? Why not just put a block-off plate in place of the EGR valve, then?

Re: Quick EGR Valve Question

Cause I don't like spending money buying things when I can fabricate them. We fabbed the EGR pipe blockoff while the motor was out and I just didn't think to do the valve as well. Know anywhere that has a template or do you think I could make one by tracing the outline of the EGR valve on some aluminum plate?
