Questions on sub-frame connectors

Are the DD type SFC's worth the extra cost? Has anyone out there actually had the chance to compare the two?

Also, with the DD type, do you lose more ground clearance than with the standard type?

Thanks

subframe connectors are cheap compared to other mods so you might as well get the best ones out there. also keep in mind that since they are weld on you cannot exactly change your mind later. I have Double Diamonds and think they are great. other F-body owners always comment on how much better my car rides than theirs

I JUST got mine installed on friday.

They are worth the extra money! There would be no reason for me to buy them if i didnt feel that they were the best and worth the price. I'd recommend them to anyone, so if money isnt a huge issue, GO FOR IT!

Also, www.ls1speed.com has a special on them now... i believe its 210+10 shipping...tell them i sent ya

I don't know if the center bolts add much more support. I have Hotchkis subframe connectors which don't have the center bolts the KBDD have. They were still amazingly good but expensive! If I did it again I would probably get the much cheaper BMR boxed design ones. They retail for $139.95 and don't present the clearance issues that the tubular ones do. They're also basically the same design as the Hotchkis ones.

One thing I don't like about the KBDD connectors is that the bars are much thinner than the boxed BMR or Hotchkis ones.

Trust me though, there's nothing like the first ride after getting subframe connectors installed

The difference is that that noticable with subframe connectors ? They really control body roll nicely ? Does it also cut down on F-Body body creaks/noises ?

So how much ground clearance do you lose with the tubular vs boxed vs DD?

I don't really want to lose much ground clearance.....kinda low already.

Anyone have any feedback on the slp sub frame connectors? I have been really thinking of adding this mod. Do you think SLP can compete with DD and BMR? What about replacing the upper and lower A arms? Does it have any benefit?

I could not recommend the KB DD SFCs enough. They are absolutely wonderful for our cars. The first drive is AMAZING and yes they get rid of the squeaks associated with the fbody. My DD SFC tucked up very closely to the underside of my SS. THey are a very nice solid piece, and I would definately encourage anyone to purchase them.
