Car is a 94 z28 and was just wondering if mine is suppose to have green antifreeze in it or if its suppose to be the dexcool?

 

Coolant is coolant. Use either, but dont use together, and dont use one after the other without a complete system flush.

 

thats false.....use the green, and green only!!!......use what the factory recommends. i think it was 95 and earlier used green and 96 and later used dexcool.........if coolant was coolant they would still be using green

 

they keep the engine cool without freezing right?

 

correct......mix a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. Make sure you mix water in with it or it wont work. If you were to just use water it would freeze up your radiatior and everything else for that matter in the winter months!!

 

my 95 trans am uses dexcool. it says right under the hood to use orange coolant only and gives me a number.
your 94 most likely came with green. i know alot of people with 95's and they just have green also.
there is always alot of confusion over what to use. just use one and stick with it.
