Questions about my new to me 95Z
Hello everybody. New member and Z28 owner with a few questions to ask you guys. Just purchased a 95Z down in Florida and was wondering if someone could give me a rough hp estimate on it. Known mods:edelbrock headers, 3" exhaust with flowmasters, K&N filter charger, Jet electric water pump, Accell 300+ ignition controller, hypertech with the 160 degree stat. suspected mods: mild cam due to the sound and lope I can feel at idle.
Also was wondering if anybody in the Ft.Pierce/Port St. Lucie Florida area have seen this car and knew the owner, 95Z hugger orange chromed factory rims, was owned by a Port St. Lucie Sheriffs Officer named Jim R.
Thanks in advance,
Matt.

Unless it is a California model, your car had 275 hp stock. Your bolt on mods give you right around 305-310 or so. If you have a mild cam, probably closer to 325-335.
In any event, welcome aboard!

Are you be quoting rear wheel or fly wheel?
Thanks, going to have it dyno'd next week and was wanting a ballpark figure. It's not a cali car. I guess I've come full circle, back in 79 my first car was a 75 camaro. Can't believe I waited this long to get another one

I'm going to say you'll dyno 270-280ish. I'm probably wrong though! Let us know how you did.

Finally got around to dynoing the car, put down 292 rwhp and 332 rwt. Got it done at dynolab in N. Ga. while I was at the Fbody gathering down there. According to my math 292rwhp comes out to 344 flywheel hp with the 15% loss through M6.
The mods I know of could'nt make that power. Any guesses as to what's been done internally?
Known mods
Accell 300+ multi strike with 8mm spiral wires
Edelbrock headers into 3" pipe with flowmasters (no cat)
Hypertech programmer, and 160 stat
SLP cai, airfoil & TBB
Jet elec. water pump
Thanks, Matt
