Questions about installing CAM

Do I really need different valvesprings when switching to a Comp 227/233 cam? I dont really want to get into changing those.

Yes you will without a doubt....and the Hot cam springs probably aren't even enough. I would recommend EX 612 springs for that cam. They aren't that hard to change at all, just loan out a valve spring compressor from Auto Zone....I did my cam install over the winter and the springs were the least of my problems.

Yes, your gonna need new springs. The stock springs are barely good for .500 lift. I would replace them anyway because that is a fairly aggresive cam with fast ramps.
