Questions
I have a couple questions for ya folks...
I am going to rebuild my LT1. I am going to go 355 route.
Question 1: what head/cam combo would give me the best HP/TQ
Question 2: What Gasket/ring set would i need to get to make the best possible HP/TQ and still be able to handle 15psi turbo and possibly nitrous?
Question 3: What pistons and crank to get?
I am thinking about the LT4 package w/different cam. Any suggestions otherwise? And i will be getting an AS&M Monoblade, and the intake will be ported and all that jazz...just can't decide what to do for heads/cam.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Questions
If you're going NA, a CC306 would work great. If you're going to go nuts with boost, you'll want one with less overlap so air entering the cylinder doesn't try to fly out the exhaust because of the boost pressure. Also, NA you could get away with some "hyper" pistons, some decent rods, stock crank. If you're going 15 lbs of boost, forged aluminum would probably be best for the pistons and rods, + an aftermarket crank. Any rings will work decent that you can find in a performance mag., but I would always recommend total seal gapless to seal in as much combustion gases as possible.
As far as heads go, AFR, TFS, and Edelbrock all make bolton LT1 heads. AFR are tried and true, TFS are intended for boosted applications but I haven't seen any numbers on them, and Edelbrock's are fairly impressive overall, especially on the exhaust side, given they have about the same port sizes as stock (good torque), which would be great for boost, since the exhaust will become very important (the intake is already taken care of by boost, it's just a matter of getting all the spent gasses out). All of them will probably work above and beyond expectations when properly ported and polished.
And don't even bother with that LT4 stuff. It might have been great in 96, but there's a lot more aftermarket stuff now that's better.
