Questions!!!!!!!!!!
Questions!!!!!!!!!!
OK...........i am exploring many new places on what i should do with my car. I dont know if i want to go completely N/A with a head and cam package or Turbo/supercharger route.
but here are some quesiton
IF i go N/A what would the best set of headers be?
FLP -- they cant be the best out there i mean what makes them better than everyone else?
SLP -- how much worse than the FLP ones are they? or are most of them all the same.
AND durability which are the better QUALITY headers.
Another is the long debated exhuast question.
Borla -- I hear they sound very bad with headers (Not good sounding)
Corsa -- to high pitched for a camaro (more suited for corvettes)
Loud Mouth -- way to loud for eveyday driving
GMMG -- heard very good things about, but have never heard.......do they sound good with headers? how loud are they compared to the rest?
I am heavily thinking about the Turbo route and if i do that then i wont buy headers because they come with the kit im looking at. So there are tons of questions I have and I will ask them later, but mainly if yall could answer those for me about sound and loundness........thanks

true..........i dont know..............i think i might go ahead and get headers and a full exhaust.
then if i get the turbo kit later i will just sell the headers for cheap.
I am thinking jet hot long tubes.................i dont know about the cat back yet........corsa or gmmg.
as far as y-pipe goes i dont know
i dont know whether to get one with high flow cats or not cats all together.

Hey Scott,
If you're thinking of going FI, you may want to browse the Forced Induction forum long and hard before you make a decision. Most people are going to tell you to hold off until you have the $$ to do a full rebuild on the motor. Probably your best bet as far as ease and durability will be a heads and cam package. As far as your headers go, you want to make sure they are a 16-18 gauge material with a nice thick flange. Also, having them coated inside and out will definately increase their longevity.
If you do plan on going FI, I would really look into doing a supercharger over a turbocharger. A SC is much easier to package and work around than most of the turbo kits out there (in my opinion). Plus, you can keep your nice set of headers on the car and not sell them for cheap.
Well, good luck.
