I am getting my head gaskets replaced and I was told that because I have 130k miles I will need to replace the nylon tooth thing on the timing chain. The car ran strong when I first got it with that amount of miles without any hesitation, the timing seemed okay. I overheated the car and I believe I blew the head gaskets but I don't see how that would effect the timing??Help!!!

I am getting my heads rebuilt and shaved (lt1 engine 94), do I have to have the intake shave also? And has anyone heard of port matching? The guy said for an extra 60 bucks he could do this and it would help hp?
