Question on EGR and poor performance

I installed Hooker headers and hooked up the EGR but I have a code now for the EGR flow, will this cause poor performance? I feel like Ive lost a little performance out of the car and am trying track down the cause. Im getting ready to remove the egr and block it off soon anyways.

Nope not really. It's probably because you deleted the manifold to intake pipe. Whenever you get a chance pull the valve and get it tuned out.

Valve could've failed recently. Still shouldn't hurt the flow/performance.

Loss of backpressure due to headers/free flowing exhaust often causes an EGR DTC.

Effect would be minimal, if at all.

Uh...Damn The Car?! Which is how I feel when the SES (service engine soon)dash light illuminates.
Diagnostic Trouble Code is what it actually means.
