Question about true duals...

I'm interested in getting a true dual setup on my T/A, but all that I've seen have turndowns on them somewhere before the rear axle. I would like to keep the pipes exiting from the rear since the body is kind of molded to fit around them. Does anyone have or know if it is possible to do this? Are there clearance issues or something? Any info would help. Thanks...

It is possible since some people choose to do this...the problem ends up being muffler selection and finding a way to get the pipes over the rear axle....it can be done though...

My brother has 2.5in pipes over the axle, but I dont like it since they tend to hit at times when the suspension travels up and down. But so far no problems. It has been over 8 mths now.

I have 3in, pipes under the axle, there is less clearance, but the lowest point is as it goes under the axle, which were the tires are, so no problems there.

It can be done by any competent exhaust shop with a mandrel pipe bender of course.

I will post pics soon.
