Question about switching to Synthetic?
Question about switching to Synthetic?
i plan on switching to synthetic oil in my car (95 Z28 150000 kms) i was just wondering that if it starts leaking worse because the oil is thinner is it alright just to switch righ back to regular oil or is it bad to go back and forth like that.
you can switch oils with no probs..........its federal regulation that all consumer motor oils have to be compatible
however........just for the hell of it...............dump a half bottle of seafoam into your current oil and drive it for a few miles..........then drain it and switch. that should help clear all the crap out.

its basically an all around cleanser...............you can put it in your oil to clean the crankcase, put it in the gas to clean the fuel system, and via the brakebooster line, you can suck it into the throttlebody.........it will clean out the inside of the intake manifold and also the top of the combustion chambers.
It's a cleaner, it's a degreaser. It's a hair shampoo and conditioner, pickup truck, mustache trimmer, storage cabinet. Add it to water and it becomes a mini-mall! Mix it in a drink or put it over rice and serve it for dinner!
LOL, mini mall
Actually carquest or napa autopart stores has it. As far as I am concerned it is one of the best if not the best fuel stabalizer/cleaner I have seen. It is the only thing we use at work. I have put it in cars and went and drove them and could actually feel the stuff when it started to work. It's amazing.
Ok now my question, what is the problem with switching to synthetic?
