Question about the MAC header gaskets?

I was wondering if the gaskets that come with the MAC headers are good at all. I have heard that they leak within a week? If they are s***, what would you suggest to use instead?

I would suggest using the OEM Exhaust Manifold gaskets that can be picked up at your local dealer. I think they are probably the best gasket for MAC headers.

I used some felpros on my MACs because I heard a few people complaining about the ones that come with the headers. If not some felpros, pick up some stockers.

Thanks for the advice. Do any of you have any numbers with the set-ups you have. Do you like the headers? Im debating between the MAC's or the Hooker shorties.

I'm very happy with my MACs. Plug access is awesome and the install wasn't bad at all. The only thing I wish I had done is to get them professionally coated. They claim to have come with a light coating but some of mine has worn off where they attach to the side of the head. Other than that, they've been on my car for over 2 years now and they're holding up very well. Overall it's been one of the best mods to date.

I would go with MAC over Hooker shorties. Make sure to get them Jet HOt coated.
