Question about lowering

I have a stock '94 Z28. I want to lower it a little and I found the Eibach lowering springs online. Can I just buy the springs and leave everything else the way it is? meaning the stock shocks/struts etc. My car has 70,000k on it with the original suspension

You should probably upgrade the shocks to match the springs - particularly in place of the loose 70K stockers. Since you have to completely disassemble the front "coil over" shocks (they are not really "struts") you have no reason not to change the shocks as well, other than the added cost.

Some other things to seriously consider are relocation brackets. Your control arms will not be at their designed angle once you lower the cars ride height and you may experience wheel hop and poor traction.

If your rear end being off center ~.5" will bother you then you will also need an adjustable PHR and possibly jounce bump spacers.

what is a good combination of shocks and springs at not to much of a cost? I'm just looking for a little bit of a drop and a little bit better handling, nothing to dramatic

You may also want to consider an adjustable torque are since lowering will change the pinon angles. I'd wait until after and see if you get more vibrations and if you do then you'd need one. Just a heads up on a possible expense.

I got the Pro-Kit with the stock springs. I've had them for about 50k now with no problems. But I do have wheel hop now that I never had. Getting Spohn LCAs and relocation brackets next week.

How did you fit two sets of springs on the car?
