Question about the Delco bose.
Question about the Delco bose.
When i bought my car used it had no stereo or speakers and i am finally getting around to putting one in and i want a factory delco cd player but most of the ones i have found are the delco bose deck and i was wondering if the bose deck will work with high quality after market speakers or do i have to have the regular delco deck.
Bose deck won't work with any aftermarket speakers because it doesn't have an amp built into it. The amps are conected to the speakers instead. You will have to find a regular delco deck. I would recomend buying an aftermarket deck and just rewiring you speakers. I had to do this when my bose deck craped out, and its not too hard.
delco
Unless it is for the nostaglia effect of an original deck, (and even then...) do not put a delco back in. Delco's suck, and I think delco knows that. They break, hence repair$$. People like my parents and their Escalade (CD deck broke twice), my sister's Suburban (CD deck broke once), they pay to fix their systems. In my own 93 I finally said scrap it. Aftermarket decks are cheaper and reliable, and give you more options with other speakers/subs/amps. (Delco and bose must be used together.)
