Question about coolant lines.

The lines that run from the back of the heads to the throttle body and then return to just under the cap, do i need those to be on the car for any reason? I bypassed the TB coolant thing a while back, and while I was putting my heads back on I figured that those lines were only to route the coolant through the TB and could be left off now that I bypassed the TB. Anyone see a problem with that? Let me know if I'm stupid.

Re: Question about coolant lines.

The lines were put there because of the reverse flow design of the LT1. The purpose is to relieve any steam pockets that may form in the head. IMO, keeping the lines is the right thing to do.
