Question about coolant crossover tube

I could sweat I heard of somebody cutting the coolant crossover tube ont he back of the heads when doing the head gaskets from the top, and using a rubber hose and clamps to put it back together. Can any substantiate this for me. I need to know like by tomorrow.

Thanks

I've heard that that is common. Makes it easier to remove the heads without having to remove the banjo fittings from the head.

Yeah, that is exactly what I thought. Thanks for reinforcing my beliefs.

Good one. I'm just sick of messing with this motor. This is the third time I have torn it down. First a to do the buildup, second to fix a broken rocker stud and ensure there were no other problems, now a blown head gasket. But hey, at least I found out why I could only run a 13.2. Dyno said I only had 303 rwhp with a blown head gasket

Look at all that good experience you now have. You can't just get that anywhere, you know.

My gorrilla arms and hands managed to get the banjo bolts back in the back of the heads with them on the car. Boy did it suck though.
