Q's about a CC305 setup w/ stock studs

I just got a used set of NSA CC1.6RRs part# CCA-1416-16 and some Crane Springs part# 10308-D to be used w/ my CC305 kit I got a few months back. Now my question is, I was also going to get studs and guideplates but i'm getting confused to what length to get? Will I be ok buying the 3/8" or the 7/16"??? Whish is better for my application? Also, I will be reusing my pushrods since I have a 1994 I've heard they are alsready hardened???

Can anyone chime in if I may have missed any other critical component for this cam swap that I might've overlooked? I'm still trying to gather all the gasket set part# so if anyone have them too it'll be great to post it as well....

thanks.

length? 7/16 or 3/8 is the width of the stud... I'm not sure I fully understand the question.

I guess what I was getting confused with is the stud width of between the 3/8 or the 7/16. I was going to buy a set of new guideplates from a member and he stated it fits the 7/16 studs but the guy I bought my RRs with threw in a set of free studs that are 3/8... So I was trying to find out if I'll be able to use those guideplates with the studs that I have? another thing is which is better in the long run for my application? I dont mind buying a whole new set of studs if what will work best are the 7/16 rather than the 3/8 ones... Sorry i'm a little bit confused on these stuff...

thanks.

Well if your rockers are for 3/8ths studs like I believe they are, then you have to run 3/8ths studs, otherwise you have to buy new rockers for 7/16ths studs.

Since you've already got the rockers, go with the 3/8ths ones, and buy guideplates somewhere else.

As far as the guide plates go it shouldn't matter 7/16 or 3/8 because the bottom half of the stud that goes into the head and holds the plate is going to be 7/16 no matter what the upper half size is.
