i thought we have a roller set up from the factory?? (LT1s) if thats the case, i cant use reg stamped rockers, right? a friend and i were arguing over this the other day. he said he thought i could use just plain old stamped rockers and i was thinking they had to be roller.

ill be gettnig 1.6s so i need to know. and i guess if im right on this, ill also have to get guidplates and stronger pushrods, correct?

really?? so then i could just buy some reg 1.6 stamped rockers and swap those in?? i dont have to buy those $300 set of RRs i see advertised in summit in the LT1 section? cause i can get stamped rockers for under 100 bucks.

Yes you could, but the stock springs are marginal with 1.6 rockers. I would at least put lt4 springs on it.

most guys looking for a little extra lift go with 1.6 rockers. stock are 1.5.

as far as price, you can get Summit stamped steel rockers for between 50-80 bucks. you can get Summit rollers for $89-98 and aluminum rollers for about 150. if you want to go with the crowd, you can get the Comp Cams 1.6 rollers for 300 bucks.
