Pushrods

Alright Ive got a question about pushrods. I had thought I was going to go with SA RR's but I found a good deal on some NSA so i got those, along with guideplates. My question is- can I use the stock hardened pushrods off of a 95 (I had already bought these) lt1 or would it be better to get some of the trickflow chromeoly pushrods that summit has? Thanks.

Re: Pushrods

Well I'm in the middle a spring project on the valvetrain and after collect some experts opinions, I can tell you this:
1) Your NSA RR selection was the right one
2) The guide plates a good decision
3) How about your springs? You would want a better springs than stock, double coil. More necessary if you don't have the stock cam. I mean The cam is the key in order to select the right springs.
4) The chromemoly pushrods (7/16) are recommended for peace of mind and if you're planning to switch to a bigger cam in the future, very expensive but they worth the price. If you have the stock cam, the hardened ones will be OK (the stock ones are not hardened, by the way).
5) Replace the studs 7/16 (right?)and the oil seals too
May I ask you, where did you purchase the RR's?
Thanks

Re: Pushrods

yeah, i know about all the other stuff im supposed to change. Ive got 987 springs and all of that stuff. I don't know if my wording was correct but aren't the 95 pushrods hardened (seen alot for sale), and will they work if the highest the rpm's go is around 6000ish?
Got my roller rockers off ebay, unfortunately they are 3/8, but that works for me, crane golds.

Anytime you use guide plates you will need hardened pushrods. Make sure you use the GM guideplate for lt1. The other brands do not align correctly.
