pushrod question

i'm doing a cam swap and going to be using self aligning rockers, is it necessary for me to change my pushrods, or is that only when using guideplates for nsa rockers? mileage on motor is 60k.

Re: pushrod question

Hardened pushrods are recommended when using non-self aligning RR's with guideplates as the push rods will rub against the guide plates. In your case, they're not needed.

Re: pushrod question

measure the difference in cam base circles and divide by two. This is close to the amount you need to add to the stock rod length (7.2"). Or use a push rod length checker and roll the assembly. Rocker should make contact @ the center of the valve.
