Get the car up a bit, make sure you drain the block completely, and label things. Bag all your bolts etc. And take your time, if you get pissed take a break. And a partner is always helpful to help out. Its not to bad, make sure you don't snap any bolts by rushing things.

Get a roll of masking tape and a sharpie to label all the wires and vacuum lines. It makes putting things back together a whole lot easier.

It's not that tough to do, just take your time and if you cannot remember where things go, label them. Keep things clean. Clean the block well.
IMHO.. If you Have the engine apart, you should upgrade you're setup.

Install a cam/valvetrain...ect..

Yea of course. But I dont think my wallet will support that.

Maybe a cheap porting job and a cam. But If I throw in lets say a CC306, do i need to change springs and rockers too??

I would go with 1.6 rollers, and stiffer springs to support them. Get all you can get out of that cam!
