pulling a motor?????
pulling a motor?????
im trying to pull my motor out of my 93 firebird formula lt1 6 speed and i cant get the motor to break all the way loose from the trannt is there something special i have to do.. it breaks loose about 2 inches on both sides and thats it.. any ideas will help thanks
i put a direct port 250 shot on my stock short block and shredded a piston it cracked the rod in half it was awesome....im gonna build a nitrous motor... any ideas on where to start?? like what cam??? crank??? rods??
I'd go with some stuff from Crower or Eagle. I've always seen good luck w/ those brands. Make sure you do all 4340 Forged and maybe even have your rods and pistons coated. If you are going to build a "good" nitrous motor i'd plan on spending close to $2500 on just the crank, rods and pistons. If you gonna do it do it right IMO.
Are you pulling out the top or dropping out the bottom?
I got a Scat 9000 crank, Scat 4340 Forged 6" I-beams, and SRP forged pistons for $982 from my machine shop...
send an email to Brian Adams, his email is scatstroker@hotmail.com , he should be able to set you up with a good price on some scat products. Just tell him what you're building, what he reccomends, and his price.
