What are the under-drive percentages of the two part #'s you mentioned?

You can start with only an under-drive crank pulley. If you experience charging problems, you can add an over-drive alternator pulley. Or, if you had no indication of charging problems, you can add an under-drive alternator pulley. As noted, the gains are minimal, since the LT1 does not drive the water pump with the serpentine belt.

How bad a problem you have will depend on the tranny (A4 idles slower than M6) and any extra electrical loads that you might have added, like an audio system. The fact you are running an electric water pump will increase demands on the electrical system.

I don't see any indication on the Summit listings regarding U/D %. You will probably have to go to the BBK and ASP websites to get the %. I do see they are claiming "bolt on 8-15HP", and you will definitely NOT see that kind of gains.

The power steering pump on the fourth generation cars is a reverse flow design that is very expensive and is also succeptable to overheating from sustained high RPM use. See my power steering cooler installation to see how to help remedy the problem.
i am suprised they gave it that much credit, i had overlooked it because i thought it was useless
