on the header leak:
I found it easier to just have that welded up. You have to take the steering shaft out but that's EASY and no more leaks.

I've been taking out my steering shaft everytime anyways.. didn't know all that. Might just have that done, even tho they're coated I'll just sand off some of the coating, I don't care anymore about how pretty it is

Mine are coated black so i just hit them with some more paint and all is well. but with the nice coated ones it will not be a pretty. So eventaully you could have them recoated to be shiny.

I swore off Hooker LTs b/c of that slip fit but got these in a "deal" so I welded them up and all is well. but the flanges are not true so the leak at the heads now, well, until i ran 2 gaskets.....

I've gotten them to seal well now with the Percy's crushable gaskets I think.. first time I've used 'em so we'll see.

I really want a set of Kook's but.. u know how that is $$$.. I've had these since like Nov 01 or something...

Check out Jeremy Formato/Rev Extreme in Tampa. I'm in the same boat as you LE2 head wiped out a LE2 cam and now have a 24*/25* i hand picked. I do need more get,and as we speak are working on 4.56's I already have a 4000 stall converter. I'll be using him for my dyno as soon as the rear end is done, for my engine/plus the 250 shot tuning. Here is his webpage with number.

Yeah 23-24th of june. I tried finding someone to dyno tune my car before these dyno tune days were setup, but for lt1's norris has some guy I've never heard of come in, and he charges $600 for that, then the place where Jeremy used to work at, I forgot the name, it will be atleast a month before they get their dyno setup in the new shop, and I haven't heard of anyong getting tuned at vinci, and I like hearing feedback on shops before I go there. And I haven't found 1 negative thing anyone has said about Jeremy. Here's the thread on ls1tech about the dates...

Jeremy doesn't work for Rev Extreme anymore, and Rev Extreme won't have their dyno ready for another month. And I'm not sure whos going to do the tuning at Rev Extreme.
