Programming differences? LT1 vs WS6

Were there any differences in the programming out-of-the-box from GM between the LT1 and WS6 equipped cars? Would an LT1 benefit from having WS6 programming flashed? I can only assume there would be a difference in air ratios with the ram air and all, but would there be anything else?

I seriously doubt that there is a difference between the programming. IMO, it'd be more worth your time getting something from PCMforLess.

Correct... to account for the different intake track losses experienced from the 2 very different intakes.

Being that I own a WS6 and have been using LT1 edit for 3 yrs, let me shed some light:

There is only 1 difference between the standard LT1 tune and the WS6. As someone stated above, the MAF table is different. It is actually curved LOWER in the WS6, I am not exactly sure why this was done, I'd have to work through the logic of it vis a vis how the PCM sees the MAF output. However, if you put the stock LT1 MAF curve in a WS6 car would probably run rich. Timing and everything else is exactly the same.
