I have a 95 Z28 M6.Well here lately, when im just cruising in 4th around 2k, and then when go to w.o.t. my car starts to jurk a little, and fall on its face, and then if i slowly let off the gas it feels like it starts to pull a lot harder. I have loudmouth exhaust , LT4 knock module, Moroso C.A.I., SLP Manual fan switch. I replaced the Opti sometime last year in the fall. I havent changed the plugs since i have had the car, and i have put probably around 12k on it since.I also havent had the O2 sensors changed since i have had it. So which do you all most likely think that itll be? I realize that if i changed out all of these it would probably run a lot better. Do you think that a custom tune from madz28 would greatly increase the performance of my car? I also have 3.73's.

 

I would be willing to bet if you changed the plugs and wires it would be gone. even w/ stock replacements (nothing wrong w/ them unless you have uncoated headers like me )

 

It just really made me mad last night when i raced one of my friends. Its ridiculous, my car has always ran very strong. My friend has a 95 TA its pretty much stock except he doesnt have a cat, he has a K&N, and he has a 1LE elbow. Well he also has a new motor with around 5K on it. Anyways, i have never lost a race to him or even stayed side by side to him, until last night. My car just has not been running to great. Now that i got my gears though, it just made me even more mad that he stayed side by side with me. In my opinion that shouldnt be happening.

 

dont think the tune would help much...the stock computer should be up with what you have done...id replace the plugs/wires and the o2's first...then take a look at your fuel system...

 

sounds like plugs and/or wires to me. Does it jerk when you bog the motor say in 5th or 6th gear down under 2k rpm? I it does then you probably have burnt wire or cracked plug.

 

yeah it will start jurking and surging if i give it more gas. I was also thinking about it possibly being the map sensor.Any thoughts on that?

 

I would go ahead and clean your MAF sensor too. Not hard to do and couldn't hurt. That was my problem. Sounds like you should change those plugs and wires too, as well as fuel filter.

 

Yeah i was planning on changing both my O2's and replacing my plugs, and fuel filter. I havent decided if i was going to replace the wires or not until i put on my headers. Will it make the plugs a lot easier to change if i wait til i put on my headers to change them. Anyone think it is worth it to replace the map?
