problems removing oil filter
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction when it comes to removing my oil filter. It turns out a 15 minute job is now turning into a all day problem. I went to change my oil today and noticed my oil filter was excessively tight and noticed a small dent in it. When i finally got it loose, the entire part that it connects to came off the engline block. It has two lines coming off it which i believe run back to my radiator. The filter keeps spinning and will not come off.
Do i have to unscrew the one bolt and remove the entire assembly it is connected to and then try and remove the filter? I guess the good news is i can screw it back on but i know it is not a good idea to use the same filter again for another 3,000 miles. Thanks
Here is a picture of what i'm up against:

Nevermind, i got it. I had to take the oil cooler lines off. It was a lot easier to remove it when your not laying on your back working upside down. Lesson learned: Don't over tighten your oil filter.
