Problems with opti swap HELP!!!!!!

Problems with opti swap HELP!!!!!!

I got a engine out of a corvette I believe it was a 92 judging by the opti plug and color of the harness wires. I put it in my 95 z28 camaro. I hardwired the opti harness into my factory harness.
factory colors opti
A red A yellow
B purple\white B purple\white
C red\black C black\red
D black\pink D pink\black

It acts as if the plugs are on wrong,backfires and wont start,I checked the plug wires and checked to see if its getting spark.Which it is. Ive done alot of research and ive got it hardwired correctly and i know i have the plugs on right.Is the old opti im trying to use just bad? The car i got the engine from was in a fire but i wouldnt believe the opti was damaged from the heat do to the fact it didnt even damage any of the plug wires. Should i just swap cams and use my new vented opti?....ugh

bet if i would of asked what cam should i use or "how to get to 500 hp overnight" i would have gotten 50 reply's.Thanks guys.

did you also swap the pcm and harness?

You just shot yourself in the foot with that remark. People don't respond when you cop an attitude.
Looks like you have A and C's colors backwards from the schematics on my site. Maybe it's a typo.

If all your connections are right (including plug wires), then it's the opti (either bad or indexed wrong).

ahhh it was just a joke.I was hopen to get a response before i left work yesterday .Its all torn apart and im swapping the cam out so i can reuse my new vented opti.The wiring color code i rambled off the top of my head so yeah it was off. Any time ive had a question or needed a diagram you've came to the rescue shoebox so thanks.
