Problems with car shutting.

Any ideas? Everytime I get on my 97CamaroSS after driving it hard lets say after I nail the throttle when slowing down for a stop, stoplight, or just idling, the car will die, unless I give some throttle to stay alive. Now my car does have H/C/I and full supporting mods along with a trifecta performance tune. What's weird is that when driving normally the car drives fine no problems at all. Until I get on it that's when it starts acting all funning. Or when I turn on the the AC in the summer the car will shut off sometimes. Anybody have any ideas?
thanks, 1sicss

Sounds like the IAC valve is not controlling the idle correctly. Put a scanner on it, and see how the PCM adjusts the IAC "counts" in response to the idle speed. If its responding by increasing the counts, but the idle isn't coming up, could indicate a faulty IAC valve, plugged IAC passage, wiring problem, etc.

could it be the butterflies are getting stuck and not returning all the way after nailing it?
