Problems after trans install ( 4L60-e )
What could possibly cause the PCM to not see the trans if everything is hooked up correctly . Scanning the car after the install , the pcm is not recognizing what gear the car is in and its throwing a TCC code saying theres no TCC input . One problem I did have when I plugged in the harness to the trans , the connector moved down as I pushed on it . I had to pry a little to keep the connector up while I pushed on the harness connector . I dont know the history on this trans because I bought it used .
Also , if the pcm can't see what gear the trans is in will it affect the way the car runs ....like idle ect. I havent tried to drive it yet .

There is a VIN derivative stamped on the transmission. Check out shoebox's picture here.
I would get that number and check the year of the car it was out of.
My guess is that you didn't hook up something right, or you damaged a connector or some wires.
The transmission won't apply the TC lock/release correctly without knowing the gear and the shift points will also be messed up most likely.

Thanks alot for the vin# info . I do know as fact I got everything hooked up correctly . Should the connector be the problem , is that connector on the trans replaceable ? Is the underside of the connector visible with the trans pan off ?
