I installed the CC305 cam 986-16 springs 1.6 rockers, CSI waterpump headers.This is the same car liljayv10 was taking about. When ever i get to about 4500rpm it sounds like it is on a 2 step, and i have talked to a couple people and they said that it was a bad opti. liljayv10 just happened to have one in stock that was used and in good condition. so i replaced it and it is still doing the same thing. my trans am is a 94 and in 93 and 94 they used a little spline shaft to drive the opti from the timing chain. i am confused and gettting aggravated.

is it possible that the timing gears are off a tooth or something
